The owner didn't write this. This repo never submitted itself. The Cap'm found it on a truffle trawl and wrote its paperwork from what GitHub already shows. Picked by hand by the Cap'm on 2026-09-11: A small Android app for the MG4 that pushes car telemetry to A Better Route Planner without an OBD dongle; its README says "Written by Claude Code.". 16 stars; MIT license. The owner did not submit this. Votes count; awards don't until the owner claims it.

I'm not calling your project slop! Geeze, it's a joke... Do you own this repo?

Log in with GitHub as lkernan. There's no account to make: SlopScupper only asks GitHub who you are (read:user), never sees your code, and keeps just your id, login and avatar. Then you can:

  • Keep it, on your terms. Commit your own slopscore.md (spec) and press Refresh. Your paperwork replaces the Cap'm's, and you can submit it for Slop of the Day.
  • Take it down. One click on Remove. It stays gone; the trawl never brings it back.

The Cap'm's log

The Cap'm wrote this paperwork, not the owner. This repo never submitted itself to SlopScore. The Cap'm picked it by hand: A small Android app for the MG4 that pushes car telemetry to A Better Route Planner without an OBD dongle; its README says "Written by Claude Code.". It carries the MIT license. The disclosures above are his best guess from what GitHub shows.

Is this yours? Commit a real slopscore.md and press Refresh to replace this, or remove the listing in one click. There's no account to make: you log in with GitHub.

ABRP_Uploader

A small app for the SAIC Motor MG4 (eh32) to push data from the car's API to A Better Route Planner's API without needing an OBD Dongle or Home Assistant.

You'll need to run the app once to set the API key. After that, it will run at startup as long as you've enabled it from the UI.

You can get an ABRP API key at: https://abetterrouteplanner.com/home/app/api-keys/telemetry

Written by Claude Code.

Installing APKs on the MG4

If you haven't sideloaded apps before:

  1. Open the Bluetooth Settings and select the car name
  2. Hold down on the comma until the settings appear.
  3. Select Android Keyboard Settings.
  4. Select Languages
  5. Use the search box at the top to search for "file"
  6. That should give you access to the files app.

From there you can select a connected USB device with APKs on it and install as usual.
